Evening presentation in the plenary session of Parliament
What a day. Mission doctors John and Zeier set off from Curahuasi shortly after 3 o’clock in the morning. This was followed by an early morning flight to Lima. Then began the wait for two extraordinary audiences in the capital. At 5pm the mayor of the metropolis of 10 million Rafael Lopez Aliaga received the two doctors from Diospi Suyana. After a laptop presentation the meeting ended with a prayer for God’s blessing.
The next audience took place in parliament at 6:30 pm. The president of the “Congresos” listened to a PowerPoint presentation on the history of the work of faith in Curahuasi. “I’d like to see it for myself!” said the third most powerful man in the Andean state. The visitors’ message was crystal clear: “Only God can create a work like Diospi Suyana out of nothing. He deserves all the glory!”
A short time later, the missionary doctors were introduced in the plenary session of the congress and greeted with applause (see video below). We sincerely thank parliamentarian Alejandro Muñante for preparing these high-level meetings.
