The hope makers at SWR

A German TV team collected excerpts

Last night, part 2. The cameraman zoomed in through the door of a hospital room. Dr. Martina John talks to a mother about her sick baby. For twenty minutes, SWR television showed scenes from the daily routine at Hospital Diospi Suyana. In the next few weeks we can look forward to episodes 3 and 4. One statement the audience heard over and over again from the patients’ mouths was, “We get better treatment here at Mission Hospital than anywhere else!” A Christian humanitarian work could not wish for greater praise.

In total, the season about “the hope makers” will highlight the work of Diospi Suyana for about 45 minutes. In mid-May, the four broadcasts will be available in SWR’s media library.

In April 2004, an illustrious audience of the Berlin upper class advised the Johns rather to keep quiet about the aspect of faith. “If they continue to be so offensive about their belief in God, they will never get on secular television with their vision of life!” That was the unanimous opinion at the time.

18 years later, a query of our database shows 106 TV reports about Diospi Suyana broadcast in countless countries. Most of them, by the way, on secular television stations. So the experts could be wrong.
