The government’s emergency bill creates difficulties for the hospitals

Also for Diospi Suyana

On Sunday, 14th November the Peruvian Government published a four-page-long emergency bill.  All hospital staff have 24 hours to prove that they are completely vaccinated.  Two vaccines are compulsory and should the second one be older than six months a third one is needed.  Those who have had Corona or can prove they have antibodies are not exempt.

Normally Peruvians politics remind one of a debating society where decisions are taken extremely slowly.  But in this case some hospitals will have to temporarily close some departments in order to ensure that all their staff comply with the law.  In this case a four-week deadline would have made much more sense.

This time things are as bad as they seem.
