A moving celebration in a packed hall
A blue sky, a packed ballroom, and an atmosphere of anticipation. The 200 seats weren’t enough, and some staff members had to stand. At around 9:25 a.m., Coicom President Pastor Arnold Enns and his wife Siegrid cut the red ribbon. The Christian Community Center will now be able to fulfill its mission as a place of encouragement, education, and support—all in the name of faith in the risen Christ.
The ceremony, which lasted just over 90 minutes, touched the hearts of the audience. Little-known details about the history of our radio and TV work, as well as the vision for the new community center, kept the audience engaged until the very end. Pastor Arnold Enns, who has been leading Christian media conferences throughout Latin America for 30 years, repeatedly drew parallels to Jesus Christ in his keynote address.
Doris Manco and her colleagues from the media center received the recognition they deserved. The same was true for the craftsmen from our workshop department, who played a key role in the construction of the Christian Community Center.
By 11 a.m., as the morning began to feel like a company outing, Diospi Suyana had reached a milestone. The kickoff of our sixth work session will remain a cherished memory for everyone who celebrated with us yesterday. We ask for God’s blessing and give thanks for the beautiful center nestled in nature on the outskirts of Curahuasi. /KDJ
