Dr. Luz Pena – A passionate medical doctor
It is after six o’clock in the evening. From the conference room a bright ray of light falls into the hallway. I go through the door to turn off the light and unexpectedly find Dr. Luz Pena. Armed with a file and a pen, she writes the data of a case presentation on the board. Not a bad idea. The next morning the medical team is on hand, discussing the case to find the correct diagnosis.
For nearly a year, this hardworking Peruvian has worked at Diospi Suyana. In mid-2013, we urgently needed doctors and Luz appeared out of the woodwork. She was a very special answer to prayer for Diospi Suyana. The convinced Christian shares the vision of the mission hospital and with passion and dedication she has worked many overtime hours.
We hope very much that Dr. Luz decides to extend her commitment for another year. Not only would that be good for patients, but good for the workforce as well. Within the next three months, she will tell us her decision.
