Good mood – three more days – take a deep breath and breathe deeply
The bus company Palomino not only brings hundreds of young people from many of Peru’s federal states to Curahuasi – with substantial discounts, of course – but also offers travelers a bonus for the kilometers they travel.
The tension is mounting and the pace of most employees has quickened. Last night there were 3,822 paid registrations.
Karina Pereyra is the linchpin of our festivals. Yesterday there was some redeeming news: Karina is extending her contract for at least another year. This means that festival number 4 is well on its way.
Chaos still reigns on the lower campsites. There are an estimated 70 people working like ants on the various construction sites.

In the night from Thursday to Friday, 5,200 festival brochures are due to arrive in Curahuasi. They are currently being printed in a fast-track process in Lima.
On the stage of the amphitheatre (one kilometer away from the campsites), technicians check cables, connections and LED lamps. A festival of this size in the middle of the Peruvian mountains is not exactly an everyday occurrence. But now it’s time for the next cup of camomile tea. A wise man (Tobias Lächele) once said: “In the end, we just have to prioritize to the maximum!” This moment will inevitably come on Friday. /KDJ
