Electricity connection for the aerial tower in Puerto Maldonado

Every step of the way is hard work

It is dusk in Puerto Maldonado. The 50m high tower standing tall against the darkening sky is Diospi Suyana’s.  The antennae and transmitters are waiting for clearance in Lima’s Custom Offices.  When can the tower finally broadcast our radio and TV programmes?  A question which has been with us for some time now.  Bureaucratic constraints and logistical hurdles are part and parcel of everyday life in Peru.  No one should give two hoots about that.  It is comforting to know that at the start of a long journey one cannot see all the problems and difficulties that one will encounter; otherwise we would never have even considered starting a media network.

Anticipation is the greatest joy.  Perhaps we only need one more authorization and then the transport of the equipment can start.  Someday everything will be up and running at Diospi Suyana’s aerial tower locations.  What can we find in the Book of all Books?  “Those who sow with tears, will reap with joy!“
