At 8 o’clock on Tuesday morning at a hotel in Frankfurt, Michael Nöh and Andrea Shäfer from the “Dade Behring Marburg Gmbh” (A Siemens Company) listened attentively. Dr. John was once again passionately telling the story of the hospital in Southern Peru. In reality, he didn’t need to do a lot of convincing because the decision to donate the coagulation equipment had been made long before this meeting. Along with the chemical reagents needed to operate the machine, this donation has a value of about 5,000 Euros – a very generous donation from the representatives of the company’s marketing department.
This was certainly a good start to the day and served to motivate Dr John for the remainder of the day. A good thing, because he still had a 600km drive to Berlin (the nation’s capital) in order to participate in 2 interviews for newspapers in the afternoon.
