Following his presentation in Trossingen on November 17th, Dr. John was pleasantly surprised as he was presented with a donation for € 800 for the mission hospital in Peru by the scout troop under the leadership of Philipp Steuer. During the previous 6 weeks the scouts had been as busy as bees collecting paper for recycling for the good cause. Their motto: “a good deed a day for Diospi Suyana!” But there was even more happening in Trossingen! Stephanie and Lea Zilz organized their own raffle and made another € 60 for Diospi Suyana. After that their parents couldn’t just sit around and do nothing. Jeanette and Reinhard Zilz drummed up support and made first-class preparations in the church hall for the presentation, such that Diospi Suyana would gladly employ them as event-managers; unfortunately, they already have their own professional commitments.
