You always meet twice in life.

Or even four times

A day with important appointments in Lima. In the evening, two Peruvian bands perform in the guest house. It’s a point of honor that we have a group from Peru at every festival. After my presentation to the musicians from “Camino de Vida Musica”, I get talking to the guests. “When did you first hear about Diospi Suyana?” I ask the group.
Pablo del Castillo (pictured above next to me), now completely amazes me.

“I was Pilar Nores’ personal photographer for many years” (First Lady of Peru in two terms of office), my counterpart answers and then continues, “during Pilar Nores’ three visits in 2007, 2010 and 2016 I accompanied her to Curahuasi three times and took photos!”

Three times in the past and once last night. If the group “Camino de Vida Musica” were to give a concert at our next festival, that would be my fifth meeting with Pablo del Castillo. You don’t just meet some people twice in the course of a long life, you meet them five times. And why not? /KDJ

The group N3 after the lecture and discussion. These musicians would also be a good option.
