Interesting analysis:
Last month, 2013 patients were treated at the hospital. Of the 25 states (departments) in Peru, we saw patients from 17 of these states. For the record, the country is three and a half times larger than Germany. Around 95% of these patients in January came from the departments of Cusco, Apurimac, Puno, and Madre de Dios. The journey by bus from Madre de Dios takes about 10-20 hours, depending on the region. The bus ride from Puno is between 12-20 hours. We thank Dominik Huttner for providing the data.
