On the 11th of April, Dr John hesitantly entered the office of Dive Motors sales manager. This is the company that sells Mercedes vehicles in Peru as well as quality ambulances.
Mr Jimenez had listened attentively to Dr John´s presentation about the mission hospital and then promised to look into the possibility of donating an ambulance to the project.
Later followed another 5 visits to the company and finally on the 28th of May there was a special opportunity to personally tell the general manager, Mr Dahmer, about the exciting work of the mission hospital.
In June 2 directors presented the idea to the shareholders of the company and it was agreed to donate an ambulance to Diospi Suyana.
THIS IS THE FIRST TIME THAT DIVE MOTORS HAS DONATED AN AMBULANCE.
Later, Tecno Medis agreed to donate the interior furnishings of the vehicle (a value of approximately $15,000). Another company will contribute the value of $5000 in providing the special stretcher. If everything goes according to plan, the ambulance will be driven to Curahuasi next week.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank Dive Motors, their directors and shareholders, the Tecno Medis company and the other anonymous company…..But we are not fooled, without God´s working hand in this matter, our mission hospital would not have this Mercedes ambulance. This is a fact we should never forget.
