This morning the deputy Health Minister called the Director of the national training program for Residents and asked for cooperation with Diospi Suyana. That evening Dr John presented the work of the mission hospital to a 3 person committee. The 2 hour discussion with Dr Nuñez, director of the continuing education program for all Peruvian medical residents, resulted in an astonishing outcome. For the first time in Peruvian history, the representatives from the Universities in Lima, Cusco and Arequipa will hold their meeting, not in Lima, but in Hospital Diospi Suyana.
The conference is schedules to be held at the beginning of August. This special meeting could allow the integration of the mission hospital into the national training program for new doctors.
