The visit by the police came us a little surprise. When I saw the letter, I was anxious. “Hopefully, nothing too bad” I thought.
But a few minutes later, I could relax. In the letter, the police was asking whether they could have our old car tires. The tires of their police cars are completely worn down. Since we had just put new tires on our construction vehicles, they would be very grateful to receive our old and used tires.
We are happy to help. It can’t be good, if the police is driving cars with worn out old tires. A small story that says a lot. This is every-day life in the Peruvian Andes.
