Where there is love, there is a way

Helping with bucket loads of creativity

Little Zoe is two years old and normally lives in Peru’s rainforest.  Unfortunately she was born with a severe clubfoot.  One day her mother heard about the Hospital Diospi Suyana in Curahuasi where clubfeet are successfully treated.  So she picked up Zoe and set off on a long journey.

Since it is a severe case the plaster cases need to be renewed every two weeks in order to correct the misalignment step by step.  Thus the family is renting an apartment in Curahuasi for a few months.

A few days ago mother and child came once again to the hospital.  Since the Corona-test was positive they were forbidden to set foot in the hospital itself.  But Vikki de Jager, Susi Rottler and Melanie Friesen found a creative solution:  within a few minutes they had erected a make-shift treatment room out of wood on the Amphitheatre’s stage.  Thus the plaster could be applied.

In the German language a saying goes: “Where there is a will, there is a way”.  I would like to change it to: “Where there is love, there is a way!“/KDJ
