Tracking an exceptional phenomenon
With his thumbs-up gesture he makes clear: “This is where I belong! My efforts over the past three hours were not in vain!” Container #62 will be packed at exactly this location next Friday. Yesterday eight men and women of conviction and 16 willing hands compiled the long list of contents for the Customs Office.
Diospi Suyana would never have come into existence without this private readiness to help. The selfless effort of these men and women makes the true character of our organisation clear to the audiences of our presentations. Their dedication encourages and motivates others to follow their example. Unconsciously they reveal that the motto of our society: “I am the only one that counts” is a lie.
A certain type of people also exist – those who are never seen on any photo, but keep the whole thing running, e.g. Renate Clauss; she bakes cakes, makes sandwiches and brings hot savoury snacks when they are needed as a motivation boost. She married Helmut (on the right) 56 years ago and both of them never tire of supporting Diospi Suyana. It is highly likely that Renate and Helmut and many other like-minded souls will be back on site next Friday./KDJ
