Dear friends of Diospi Suyana,
This week I am able to report on 2 major developments.
On the medical side of things, the CT machine is set up and on the construction side, the ventilation and exhaust system has been successfully installed.
Since then, the CT machine has been used for several patient examinations and the ventilation system is running quietly and with a regulated airflow.
The steel construction company has arrived to build a 400 square metre roof over the maintenance yard. They will use steel beams that are left over from other construction projects. This area will be used for the hospital’s incinerator, vehicle servicing and for general storage of maintenance materials necessary for ongoing projects in and around the hospital.
Above the on-site water tanks work has begun on a sand filtration system that will naturally purify the water for the hospital.
In addition, the heavy electric cables are being set in place on the outside areas of the hospital, the solar hot water system is being connected into the existing system and as always many other small jobs are being completed.
Today I would like to take this opportunity to personally say goodbye to all of you and to thank you for your interest in my construction reports over the past 2 and a half years!
