Two tons of Inca salt for the decalcification plant of the hospital

A thank you to the ancient Inca aristocracy

These days, the decalcification plant is being built above the hospital. The function requires a lot of salt as part of an ion exchange process. Fortunately, more than 500 years ago, the Incas created several hundred basins for the extraction of salt in the town of Marras.

However, it is not known whether Pit Werner was thinking of the Inca high culture when he transported 2000 kg of salt away yesterday in a small truck. Marras is about a three-hour drive from Curahuasi.

Pit Werner and team picked up 2 tons of salt yesterday with our Unimog.
