Travelling in the Andes

Many Indian villages present a picture of absolute wretchedness. Disintegrating clay houses and a strange pessimistic silence characterize the atmosphere in the mountains. The previous photo shows an old clay church that has surely seen better days. It is located in Cachorra. From there you can make the adventurous trip to the old Inca town of Choquequirao – but plan on it taking five days.

In the morning Dr. John preached to a full church in Concacha about the love of God. Basing his sermon on Acts 16, he said “God´s love has the power to overcome the laws of nature, our circumstances and even the depths of the human heart”.
