A man with a productive future
Cirilo lives in Zurite in the state of Cusco. The 49-year-old knows why hard work is important. He provides for his three children and his wife by farming. But then disaster strikes in the field. He loses his left leg in an accident with the plow.

In the mountains of Peru, there is no “father state” to step into the breach. There is no rehabilitation and no real hope. Three long and sad years pass. Finally, Cirilo hears about the Diospi Suyana Hospital in Curahuasi. And full of pride and gratitude, Cirilo is able to go back to work. The prosthesis on his left leg is almost indistinguishable from a real leg.
