Thumbs up for Doneyra Arroyo

At Diospi Suyana she is unique

At some point she saw a report on television about the Diospi Suyana Hospital. Out of interest, she drove all the way from Puno on Lake Titicaca to Curahuasi and promptly landed a job interview. She has been providing an invaluable service at the hospital for eleven years now. After working as a nurse in the intensive care unit for a long time, she moved up to the second floor in the administration department. She also studied healthcare, which is a stroke of luck for us.

Friendly, capable and hard-working. If necessary, she works late into the night and pulls many a hot potato out of the fire when negotiating with the authorities.

And now comes her unique selling point at the missionary hospital: she belongs to the Aymara people, who live in southern Peru, Bolivia and northern Chile. After all, 2.2 million people belong to this language group.

The convinced Christian says that her work at Diospi Suyana is a matter close to her heart. And she puts these words into action month after month. We are grateful for our volunteers from abroad and proud of our Peruvian colleagues. No one could fill Donna Arroyo’s job better than she herself.

And that is why we say today: Juspajaraña! (Thank you very much). /KDJ
