Dear Friends of Diospi Suyana!
Both of our construction site teams were extremely successful during the Diospi Suyana field trip soccer competition. Team 1 was only beaten in the semi-final. Team 2 ended up winning the competition after an exciting final, including a penalty shoot-out. The prize: dinner for the whole team at a polleria (chicken rotisserie) in Curahuasi.
On Monday, everybody was back on the construction site, happy and relaxed. We don’t have much progress to report from Building 4 since we didn’t have enough form work. However, this will most likely change next week, since parts of the form work system will be removed from Building 5 and be put to use in Buidling 4.
The brick work continues on the top floors of Building 5. But the focus of this past week was Building 3. All single foundation elements are set and tomorrow we are pouring the concrete for the foundation beams.
