There Goes Yesterday…

It´s 11 o´clock in the morning and I arrive at the Mercedes company, “Dive Motors” right on time. They confirm once more that we will receive an ambulance (Sprinter model) and that 2 other companies will help with the interior fittings for the vehicle. They are hoping to deliver it in the last week of July and the manager of Dive Motors wants to visit the mission hospital with his daughter.

At 1 o´clock I once again go over our list of needs (in all, 10 machines) for the Blood Bank with the Ahseco Company. The market price for this equipment is approximately $92,000 and we have been offered it at a 47% discount. So now we have looking for the necessary $47,000.

That same afternoon I am able to purchase a centrifuge for the laboratory ($400).

In the evening I venture into the notorious “La Victoria” suburb of Lima to tell a manager of a textile company about Diospi Suyana. I had traveled with the manager´s brother in the taxi to the airport that same morning. Hopefully we can get good prices for OR gowns, bed sheets and other cloths that are still needed in the hospital.

Today we have an important appointment with a visitor from Germany. This evening we will tell you all about it. At the same time, Dr Seminario from the Presidential Office will again negotiate with the Dean of Medicine at the San Martin University in Porres in regard to our medical licences.

As always, we ask for your prayers in these matter. KDJ
