There are many methods of how to stay awake whilst driving

Pit Werner did not choose the cheapest

Long journeys through the Andes are tiring, especially by night.  Some drivers turn up the volume of the radio, whilst others open the front car windows to have the wind blow in their faces.  What also keeps one awake is a deep and emotional conversation with one’s fellow passenger(s).  Pit Werner, head of our workshop department, tried a further option.  Travelling on Friday evening through the rain from Cusco to Curahuasi he drove right into a hail of stones.  A boulder, the size of a football, hit the car roof, fortunately at its most stable point.  The windows did not break, but Pit confirmed that after the event he and his wife Martha were wide awake; something that is crucial when sitting at the wheel.  Diospi Suyana wishes safe travels.
