High-tech ready to be used
Family De Haan and building engineer Udo Klemenz inspect the new operating theatres 4+5. It is more than fair to say that all the effort was worth it. Most of the costs for the operating theatre extension were covered by the Bauder-Foundation. The operating-lamps (LED) and the anaesthesia machines were donated by the Dräger-Werke in Lübeck, Schmitz und Söhne sponsored the two new operating tables and Erbe contributed two electrocauteries.
Both architects Kornelius and Tina Linder drew up the plans and Jürgen Engel did the static calculations free of charge. Udo Klemenz did an excellent job of heading the building project and the volunteers Oebele de Haan and Matthias Kügler managed all the complicated connections fantastically. The end result is two new operating theatres that you would come across in any US or European hospital. The project and the equipment cost a total of USD0.5mio.
The ultramodern equipment will be a blessing for countless poor patients. Now the Hospital Diospi Suyana has six fully-functional operating theatres.

Clean, new and expensive. We cordially thank all companies for their donations in kind.
