A belated thank you to Walter Enders
Before and after my trip to Poland, I find shelter with the Mörl family. The Mörls were among the pioneers who rolled up their sleeves in 2007 during the start-up phase of the hospital. The Mörls’ cozy house is located in Upper Lusatia, surrounded by forests and meadows. Before I load up the car to head west again on the A4, Michael presents me with the jar of preserves from his brother’s butcher’s shop. No one knows how many times the jar has been emptied. And who remembers Walter Enders, who came up with this glorious idea of transparent money boxes in 2005?
Over 100 of these jars have been in use since 2005. Countless people have thrown well over €20,000 through the slits to support Diospi Suyana. Walter Enders has long since gone to his grave and is resting in peace. And I mean that literally. As a convinced Christian, Walter lived and died trusting in God. He has long since recovered from his heart attacks and strokes, because in God’s new world, suffering and pain are a thing of the past. By clicking on “jar for Diospi Suyana” you can read a story that doesn’t happen every day. /KDJ
