The lost wedding ring

When an anesthesiologist as Daniel Gringel and a neurologist as Tabea Gringel visit the hospital, we at Diospi Suyana could have secret ulterior motives, devising plans on how wonderful it would be to integrate two other doctors as them into our long term team.

On Monday the Gringels came to Curahuasi as tourists to visit the missionary hospital first hand. There the couple received a two hour tour of the hospital by the Medicine Intern Frederike. At the same time, Dr. Tabea Gringel was able to meet with Dr. Martina John in the clinic: A patient with Parkinson was in desperate need for a neurological examination.

In the afternoon, the Engineer Udo Klemenz found the opportunity favorable to invite them for a tour of the new school construction site. The next stop was the Children’s Club House, where Julianna Rolli welcomed them. Later that evening, they were invited by Curahuasi´s missionaries where they were able to ask them many questions. But the personal highlight for them ocurred on Tuesday during the morning service.

The only catch: When they visited the surgery wing, for which they needed to dress appropriately (surgeons clothing), Daniel Gringel lost his wedding band. Maybe that is a sign that they have to return to Curahuasi and stay for some years in the future in order to find his wedding band./ Marion Hofmann
