A quarter of a century ago the “Clinica Urcos” closed its doors. Mission organization “Latin Link” established this small mission hospital in the city of Urcos, 40 minutes south of Cusco. Several months ago a book was published about the hospital, written by British nurse, Madeleine Channer. She notes that today only a few ruins remain at the original site.
She concludes her book by writing, “A new mission hospital has now been built for the benefit of the Quechua people. It is 3 hours north of Cusco and is an initiative of two German Doctors. Thus the work of healing goes on, where the poorest of the poor continue to receive much needed medical treatment!”
