Good news at Diospi Suyana
Work on two large electric sun canopies is due to start in the next few days. Strictly speaking, these are weatherproof tarpaulins that can be extended and retracted as required using wires. We are delighted that the Bauder Brothers Foundation will be supporting us with these important projects.
The sun protection over the sports field (1) and the upper schoolyard (2) is not an option, but a legal requirement. As the UV radiation in the Andes occasionally reaches the round 20 on the scale of 1 – 20, the pupils have to stay in the shade during the day. We are bombarded with many negative headlines in the media. At Diospi Suyana there are many good ones. And that is not a matter of course, but rather an expression of God’s blessing. /KDJ
