Perhaps their next stop will be in Curahuasi
She lives in Cartago and traveled eight hours by bus to Bogota. Leidy Osorio has read the books about Diospi Suyana and has already made a video clip for our mission. The young Colombian is an expert in communication and media studies. She would love to use her knowledge in Curahuasi for three years. As a volunteer (missionary), of course. Her work would be completely cost-neutral for Diospi Suyana.
After a presentation on the laptop in the hotel foyer, we talk about the details of her life. As a ten-year-old, she was dangerously close to drowning. In dire need, she prayed to God: “If you save me, my life will be yours!” Now she wants to keep her promise and help out at Diospi Suyana’s media center.
This decision would mean financial disadvantages for her and an uncertain future abroad. But Leidy says that the story of Diospi Suyana has totally strengthened her faith in God. Now she wants to become a part of this dream herself. /KDJ
