The disruption at our eight aerial towers seems to be fixed

No more failures since Tuesday

For the past two weeks several technicians in Peru and Australia fought hard to keep our FM-towers on air.  The fault most probably lay with the uplink in Curahuasi.  But there is a bright light on the horizon.  No further hiccups have occurred within the last 30 hours.  Should it stay that way then the reason truly lay with interferences at the satellite in space.

Due to the massive technical difficulties in the Media Centre and the huge efforts building the electricity connection to our aerial tower in Sicuani our staff have developed a further strategy: in the mornings, at noon and in the evenings between six and nine members of the team pray for God to act.  Doris Manco, head of our radio channel writes: “We give God the glory.  There is power in communal prayer!”

Our location in Abancay: David Hanco has every reason to shine more brightly than the sunshine: the satellite connection seems to be working again as in the good old days.
