Fine weather, good progress, fantastic atmosphere
Dear Diospi Suyana Friends, slowly things are getting a bit tight on the building site in spatial terms. When new materials arrive on site we have to carefully consider where to put them. We have stacked some of the accruing construction waste and some of the roof tiles on the roadside of our fence. This is a common, everyday sight in Curahuasi, which disturbs neither the police nor the drivers.
The concreted cellar wall of the building’s front section has been stripped of the formwork and the masonry work of the remaining outside walls and the non-load-bearing partition walls in this area can now be completed.
In the rear part of the building, facing the sports ground, the ground floor ceiling of Group Room 1 has been encased and the carpenters are working on the formwork for the 3m freely projecting balconies. Bearing in mind what materials we have available, it is quite a challenging project! That is all for today from the Colegio’s building site in Curahuasi.
The building teams send its heartfelt greetings and wishes you all a relaxing and blessed weekend, Udo.
