Six More Weeks To Go

Dear Friends of Diospi Suyana,

In six weeks, we will officially inaugurate the Children’s House. I am confident that the exterior of the building will be in pretty good shape by then as well.
We have completely redone one of the outer walls and have now started to demolish and rebuild the wall enclosing the property.

The tile work in the storage and bathroom house is complete. We are done painting the ground floor of the main house and are finishing up the installation of the last few doors.

Moving on to the extension of the outpatient clinic, the tiling and exterior paint jobs are finished, and we are now working on painting the interior. Next week, the ceilings will be installed.

The archive has also been painted and the lights have been installed. Next week, we will start to lay the floor tiles.

In regards to the school project, I can report that, while we are waiting for the ground test results, we are working on obtaining the necessary permits to build a road leading up to the school and install water and electricity access lines. Here in Peru, it can take weeks even months to obtain such permits.

Hopefully, everything will be in place by mid June, when we are scheduled to start construction.

Greetings from Curahuasi,

Udo.
