Resignation of the Last Engineer

With the departure of Robinson Palacio, there are no remaining engineers in Hospital Diospi Suyana. He has been heavily involved in the planning and construction of the hospital since November, 2005. After the Klemenz´ returned to Germany in the first week of February, Robinson has been overseeing the remaining construction projects at the hospital.

He was given a traditional send off to Chile with a meal of Cuy (guinea pig). He will take up his new job in Chile in 1 week´s time.

Dr Martina John baked a special German cheesecake for the celebration and Mr Palacio was presented with a leather bound Bible with the Diospi Suyana logo stamped on the cover as a small reminder of his work here.

Over the period of the construction of the hospital more than 1000 Peruvians have work on the project. Some were with us for just a few weeks while others, like Robinson, have worked here for more than 2 years.

Diospi Suyana gives a hearty thank you to Robinson Palacio for his dedication to the work here and all the best for his new beginning in Chile.
