Report From The Construction Site From Udo Klemenz

Dear Friends,

At 6:30am on Saturday morning, we found a heavily loaded trailer sitting in front of the construction site by the Children’s House. Was this the tile delivery we had been waiting for?

After lifting the covers and unloading dozens of mattresses, we discovered the long-awaited tiles, and this time, they were the correct ones. We learned that the mattresses were not for us but a light extra load, which was being shipped from Lima to the Andes.

On Monday morning, we immediately started tiling the floors of the third floor and made good progress. We are still busy with plastering the first floor but the end of this dirty work is in sight.

Our hospital metal workers have installed the balcony railings on the second floor as well as the entrance gate. So, we have a clean and tidy looking street side now.

That’s it from Curahuasi today.

All the best,

Udo
