Rallye In The Rain

Dear Friends of Diospi Suyana,

This week, like the previous week, was shaped by rain. Yesterday, we did not work since non of our workers wanted to miss the exciting Rallye Perú passing through Curahuasi. The Panamericana was lined with spectators and closed for regular traffic, when the cars bombed toward Cusco. Only the numerous stray dogs were a source of distraction.

There are still no projects under way at the Consulta Externa construction site since the materials we need for the roof haven’t arrived from Cusco yet. And given the current rainy season, I am not particularly sad about the delay.

We have plastered the top part of the stairway in the children’s house and took down the scaffolding. Most likely, we will be able to finish plastering the third floor interiors and start working on the floor below.

In front of the house, we are currently installing the concrete pillars for the fence.

Greetings from Curahuasi, Udo.
