A talk with extensive security measures

Curahuasi, Lima, everything routine. On Friday 20 of Dr Kcam’s invited friends and relatives attended a presentation.  For me it was an event like thousands I have experienced before.  But the excitement came unexpectedly on Thursday evening.  A group of unknown persons contacted Dr Kcam via email, claiming they belonged to Diospi Suyana, and wanted to know the exact whereabouts of the location.  Their email was anonymous and alarming.  What were these people up to?  Did they want to gate crash or had they planned a kidnapping?  The sender’s email has long been switched off and the gmail-account dissolved, thus making it impossible to track the masterminds.  But who is behind this?  Diospi Suyana has enough enemies and enviers.  Dr Haßfeld is still awake when I call him: “Irrespective of what happens,” I tell our deputy director, “Diospi Suyana never pays any ransoms!” I can hardly sleep that night and toss and turn on my pillow.  At 4a.m. my wife and I kneel down to pray, entrusting us all to God’s care and protection.

Friday 19th July.  At short notice the venue is moved into a different suburb.  From the afternoon onwards several secret police agents, five of them in civilian clothes, patrol the residential district.  While I am telling Diospi Suyana’s story to an audience of 22 the building facility is under constant observation.  The representatives of the secret police that usually deal with criminals, Mafia-elements and drug-barons are now working overtime to protect Diospi Suyana, at no cost to our organisation.

Inside, in the warmth, I am speaking to an interested audience about our mission organisation of faith.  Outside, in the cold, security staff are standing “under cover” on several street corners.  For us it was a lovely evening without any incidents.

In its entire history Diospi Suyana has never experienced something like this.  A cordial „Dankeschön“ to the secret police. /KDJ
