Christians are people who have a hope
Diospi Suyana’s Easter Morning service has become a tradition. At 7a.m. 70 grown-ups and children met on a high plateau 400m above the Valley of Curahuasi. Many participants greeted each other with the Easter greeting: “The Lord is risen!” “He is risen indeed!”
Like last year trumpets and trombones proclaimed the news of Christ’s resurrection into the majestic mountain world.
In his short sermon Dr Mark Gingerich spoke about a passage from Corinthians in which Paul lists the names of eyewitnesses who personally encountered the Risen Lord. Urologist Dr David Brady hit the nail on the head when he said: “Most of us could tell their own story with Jesus!”
The morning gathering once again underlined how international Diospi Suyana is with people from Peru, Chile, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Holland and USA taking part.
Blue skies and sun. A condor majestically floats through the air. A delicious meal has been lovingly prepared by skilled hands. It goes without saying that the whole ambiance was wonderfully beautiful. But the main focus was the alpha and omega of our faith. Jesus Christ has conquered death and that is why we live our lives fully trusting in him.
