In the morning, Dr John had no idea he would have an evening meeting with the Peruvian First Lady at the presidential palace. The reason for Thursday’s meeting was a lunch time email that the missionary doctor had sent to her asking for a chance to meet.
During the meeting, they discussed the import of donations from Germany as well as the best date for the hospital inauguration celebration.
When the John family moved to Peru in 2003, the whole family slept on mattresses on the floor of a little casita in Curahuasi. Much has happened for Diospi Suyana over the past three years.
