The cross country bike race, that took place last Saturday, was not for fearful. Among the tough participants were Diospi Suyana’s Dr. Jens Haßfeld and his sons Joel and Niels.
As in previous years, the missionary hospital provided the ambulance. The emergency rescue team consisted of anesthesiologist Dr. Tobias Schreyer, surgeon Dr. Reinhard Kühn, his wife Uta and nurse Debora De Haan. Her husband Oebele De Haan was behind the wheel.
We are happy to report that the race finished without any major injuries.
