There are 22 missionary children living in Curahuasi. Some of them are attending a local Peruvian school, whilst the majority are being home schooled using curriculums from Germany. They are growing up here in good, clean air and a beautiful sunny climate and there is no doubt that these children are happy to be living in Peru.
Naturally the day will come when they will have to return to their home countries for more schooling in either Germany, Austria or the USA and one would expect them to experience some “reverse culture shock” at that time. Our hope is that their carefree days in Curahuasi will remain with them throughout their lives as sweet childhood memories.
