Anyone who comes to join the team of missionaries with Diospi Suyana will eventually find they miss something. For example, there is no black bread here – a thing very dear to many Germans. Fortunately for Michael Moerl (an ICU nurse from Saxony) he was able to use his comprehensive knowledge in mill construction. Yesterday a wooden grain mill emerged from the hospital’s maintenance shop – something that will please many of the missionaries.
Now, if only some raw rye grain can be found to be put into the new mill, things will be well on the way. By the way, Michael Moerl and his wife, Elizabeth, are excellent bakers. We hope the oven will soon be fired up!
