Melissa Wood is a dental hygienist who could be busy in Seattle – with or without sleep. But instead she decided to volunteer at the Diospi Suyana dental clinic in Curahuasi, where she is now cleaning the teeth of Quechua Indians. This missionary trip to Peru is an expression of her faith.
The bible tells us of a special event, during which Jesus cleaned the feet of his disciples. Melissa cleans the teeth of impoverished patients. And, like Jesus, she is not doing this for her own sake or to make money.
