Lyndal Maxwell speaks about her life…

… and her hope as a cancer-sufferer

The Australian Lyndal Maxwell was the very first person who joined the missionary doctors John in Curahuasi back in 2003.  She was a pioneer who enduring extremely adverse circumstances committed herself to helping people in need.  In November 2005 she founded the first Diospi-Suyana-Children’s-Club with Dr Martina John.  After the hospital’s inauguration the x-ray-assistant competently assisted getting the radiology department up and running.  In private she spent several years caring for nine orphans and finally founded a children’s home for children that no else wanted.

In 2018 she was diagnosed with an advanced and, according to her doctors, uncurable cancer.  In her current podcast Lyndal speaks openly and honestly about her way into the mission and her faith in a God of love – despite cancer, grief and disappointments.
