The school garden
Dear Diospi Suyana friends and readers of the building report, do you remember the building report of just one year ago? At that time, Udo Klemenz described how the rubber floor (donated by the company NORA) was installed in the classrooms. At that time, most of the flooring was laid, but the rooms of the kindergarten were missed because they didn’t yet exist.
When the rooms were finally ready for the floors to be installed, there weren’t any employees to do it. Those on our site who had been taught by the company NORA had already been terminated. However, this week a former worker was able to come back who now lives 1000 km away in Lima. Together with his brother, he is installing the high quality rubber floor in the three 50m² rooms. When they are finished, the interior of the kindergarten will be almost complete and they can start setting up inside.
Not yet finished, but once again a little further along, is the school garden. Notice the small stream. During the rainy season, drainpipes feed it with water that flows into the pond so that it can at least compensate for some of the water lost due to evaporation.
