Our dental team carried out a check-up at the Diospi Suyana School
On Monday and Tuesday, our dentists and nurses examined 264 children in the upper classes. Half of the pupils (129) suffered from tooth decay, and in 23 cases there was an urgent need for treatment. 91 children had gingivitis (inflammation of the gums).
As worrying as the results may be, they also give cause for some satisfaction. After all, 90% of Peruvian schoolchildren have tooth decay. Among our pupils, the percentage affected was just under 50%. https://elperuano.pe/noticia/141696-minsa-advierte-que-9-de-cada-10-
