Hospital Diospi Suyana positively mentioned in TV-Exitosa

Missionary hospital stands alongside the state hospitals

Yesterday afternoon the TV station Exitosa mentioned that the Hospital Diospi Suyana is prepared to treat patients infected with the Coronavirus.  As a private institution Diospi Suyana would not have been required to do so.  Seeing things as they currently are most of Peru’s private clinics choose to keep out of the upcoming battle against the virus.

For the 0.5mio inhabitants of Apurímac there are only 30-40 monitoring beds, a third of this capacity is at the Hospital Diospi Suyana.  In the meantime we have received the Health Minister’s written confirmation that future donations of equipment will really arrive and be used in our hospital.

The number of infected persons in Peru has increased from roughly 3,000 to more than 4,300 cases within the past 24 hours, an increase of 45%.  Consequently the Head of State Martin Vizcarra has extended the curfew until 26th April.

Analogous translation: Missionary hospital offers the State Health System (MINSA) its services.  Furthermore, Exitosa mentioned that 0.38mio patients from all over the country’s regions have already been treated at the Hospital Diospi Suyana.
