High-caliber, friendly, open and generous

The Braun family of B. Braun Melsungen AG stands by Diospi Suyana

Prof. Ludwig Georg Braun (left) is Honorary President of the Association of German Chambers of Industry and Commerce (DIHK). He opened the door to Anna Maria Braun, CEO of the long-established German company’s global group of companies. The dedicated mother of three studied law at the elite Georgetown University and then headed B. Braun Medical Industries in Malaysia. Since 2019, she has been the top decision-maker at one of the global medical technology companies. The company currently employs almost 65,000 people in 64 countries.
.
Yesterday afternoon, father and daughter heard the story of Diospi Suyana at the company headquarters in Melsungen. It was almost exactly 20 years ago when the missionary doctors John and Axel Lantzsch, then co-head of Stoss Medica, presented the vision of Diospi Suyana. In 2004 there was no hospital, no equipment, no name recognition and no staff. “They must have thought back then that the Johns were two more crazy people in this world,” said Dr. Klaus John with a grin at the beginning.
.
The contribution of B. Braun Melsungen is enormous. Surgical instruments, infusion pumps, materials for daily hospital needs etc. have long been donated in the high six-figure range. Thank you to the Braun family for this special audience and the great sympathy for our work.
.
“I’ve read your three books,” said the multiple award-winning industrialist, “they’re sitting neatly on my bookshelf!” – “B Braun Melsungen AG is loyal to its friends”, the chairwoman remarked in her farewell speech. “We will continue to support Diospi Suyana!” /KDJ
