In November 2009 Guadalupe Hermoza was traveling over the mountains headed for Cusco. At the time there was political unrest happening in the region and for several hours Guadalupe found herself delayed inCurahuasi waiting for the road to open. Immediately she decided to go and have a look at Hospital Diospi Suyana and friendly physician, Dr. David Brady gave her a tour.

Guadalupe is head over 25 OR nurses who work at the prestigious Clinica Anglo Americana hospital in Lima and what she saw in Curahuasi, she could not forget. Thus, upon returning to Lima, she spoke with the directors of  the Clinica Anglo Americana and they invited Dr. John tovisit and tell them about Diospi Suyana.

As a result of the presentation Clinica Anglo Americana will send 1 of their nurses each month to Hospital Diospi Suyana and assume the full costs themselves. Last Sunday Guadalupe traveled once again to Curahuasi to make the final arrangements. During her visit, she personally assisted in 5 surgical cases.

Now, on 1st of April the first of the OR nurses will arrive to begin their service with Diospi Suyana. We give thanks to God for this cooperative effort between the big city hospital and our country hospital. Clearly, God can even use political tensions to bring about His plans!
