There are many good initiatives under the sun
Last week, four employees of a small mission hospital near Santa Cruz, Bolivia, visited Diospi Suyana. They inspected the various departments of the hospital, asked many questions and were especially interested in our computer software. Eight years ago, we received complimentary expertise about this software from a mission hospital in Ecuador. Now, a part of our received know-how flows east to the neighboring country of Bolivia.
On Thursday, the guests gave a PowerPoint presentation of the history and organization of their Campo Chihuahua clinic. The main sponsors of their project are German-born landowners. A few years ago when part of the hospital burned the neighboring farmer could be seen helping with the cleanup work. He took the fire as an opportunity to replace the large wooden structure by a stone building. An impressive attitude on his part.
The group led by Herbert Schofield has now left to return to their home in Bolivia. Chihuahua is approximately 1,500 miles from Curahuasi.
